The Santa Barbara Bar Association sponsors a Lawyer Referral Service that assists people in Santa Barbara County who have legal problems and seek the advice of qualified attorneys. The Lawyer Referral Service has been serving Santa Barbara County since 1964 and is certified by the State Bar of California, Certificate Number 0032.

How Does LRS Work?

A person needing legal assistance calls the LRS and describes to the intake administrator the nature of his or her problem.  The person is then referred to a lawyer experienced in the required field of law for a 30 minute initial consultation.  If further legal services are needed, a fee arrangement is made directly between the person and the lawyer.

Is there a Fee for this Service?

Yes, there is a $35.00 administrative fee payable to LRS to provide this service.  The fee is waived for all referrals in the area of personal injury law.

Why Should I Use LRS?

LRS is the only non-profit lawyer referral service sponsored by the Santa Barbara County Bar Association and certified by the State Bar of California.  Member attorneys serve on more than 25 legal specialty panels which include:
